Dylan Collins

Visiting Assistant Professor/Coordinator of Sculpture

MFA Kent State University

Dylan Collins was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1974, and grew up in east central Illinois. He attended Eastern Illinois University and received both a B.A. in Two-Dimensional Studio Art in 1996 and an M.A. in Sculpture in 1997. He moved to Ohio in 2000 to attend Kent State University, earning an M.F.A. in Sculpture in 2003.

Since earning his MFA, he has held academic positions as Adjunct Instructor in Drawing and Sculpture programs at Kent State University, Visiting Assistant Professor of Drawing at Oberlin College, and Instructor of Studio Foundations at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. Dylan is currently Visiting Assistant Professor and Sculpture Program Coordinator in the School of Art & Design at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Recent exhibitions of his work include Diagrammatic Disarray at Northwest Florida State College Mattie Kelly Arts Center, Apparatus at the University of Texas at San Antonio Satellite Space, Phenomena(l) at SPACES gallery in Cleveland, the 21st International Juried Show at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit, New Jersey, Once Familiar at MOCA Cleveland, and The NEO Show at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
