Jack Moffett

Jack Moffett received his Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from WVU before continuing his education at Carnegie Mellon, where he achieved a Master’s degree in Interaction Design. His thesis work received the NCR Knowledge Award. After graduating, he spent two years on staff at CMU’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) designing user interfaces for companies such as Lockheed Martin, Shell, and DaimlerChrysler, as well as various divisions of the US military. As a freelance designer, he has worked with Ericsson, PanGo Networks, and others. He is currently employed as an Interaction Designer at Inmedius, a software development firm in Pittsburgh focused on applications that capture, create, manage, and deploy technical information. Jack has extensive experience designing web applications and software for use on handheld and wearable computers. He is an expert on the design of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs). Jack’s work has been presented at Computer-Human Interaction (CHI) and the International Symposium on Wearable Computers (ISWC). His teaching credits also include courses in the HCII and School of Design at CMU.
