On Paper: Prints from Normal Editions Workshop
January 20 - March 12 2005
The exhibition is comprised of a selection of prints created at Normal Edition Workshop from over the past 20 years. I selected specific works that showed both the strength of the artists vision and the quality of print created at one of this country's finest contract print shops. -Robert Bridges, Curator Mesaros Galleries
Normal Editions Workshop (N.E.W.) was founded in September of 1976 at Illinois State University (I.S.U.), Normal, IL. This workshop continues its role as a distinctive non-profit research facility with a close affiliation with the University and its mission "...to expand the horizons of knowledge and culture among students, colleagues, and the general citizenry through teaching and research. "* N.E.W.'s facilities are located adjacent to one of the School of Art student printmaking studios in the Center for the Visual Arts building on campus. A close rapport remains between the N.E.W. staff and the students, faculty, and administration of the University.
