Sean Blair
Blair's exhibition of paintings, titled Permanent Novelty, examines the significance of fashion and celebrity within a larger cultural framework. His reworking of appropriated imagery explores how fashion texts communicate, and examines the function of celebrities within them. Blair received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. Blair teaches figure drawing and painting at West Virginia University, and his exhibited his work in numerous solo, group, invitational, and juried exhibitions. His work is held in public and private collections throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland.
