China Summer Painting Studio Program
Summer Semester 2007 (May 23 - June 29)
Imagine exploring extraordinary contemporary and historic China. This is a rare moment in time for the serious student of Art to touch those historical eastern roots as well as connect with the inspiring energy of the present. Allow for new experiences as well as intellectual and artistic growth as you immerse yourself in the other half of the world.
This 5 1/2 week program, (May 23 - June 29) will take students to Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Yellow Mountain, Zhouzhuang, Xidi, Tangyue, Xian, Xining, Qinghai Lake, and Beijing. The studio portion of the program in Nanjing will enable students to engage in a working relationship with artist and craftsmen in Nanjing and surrounding areas.
Space is available for 10 to 18 individuals from the West who wish to engage in a serious study of their art and Chinese culture.
